How to Fly Together

  1. Configure your drone before group flights:
    • ANALOG — set an R band and remember the channel. Power: 25–200 mW
    • DJI — apply the goggles hack and fly at 25 Mbps or 10/20 MHz (O3)
    • WALKSNAIL — unlock 8 channels, set bitrate to standard (25 Mbps)
  2. Once you arrive at the flying spot, determine which channels are free. Alternatively, coordinate with others to fly together on shared settings.
  3. Takeoff and landing areas must be located away from people.
  4. Before plugging in the drone battery, loudly announce it to everyone present.
  5. After connecting the battery, make sure nobody has lost signal.
  6. If someone goes into the field to retrieve a crashed drone, they must inform all other pilots and proceed with caution.
  7. If someone is in the field searching for a drone, do not fly above or near them. This is unsafe and interferes with recovery efforts; the beeper cannot be heard properly.

DANGER

DO NOT fly near people or cars.

DANGER

DO NOT walk with a powered drone in front of other pilots (do not create interference or hazards).
