How to Fly Together
- Configure your drone before group flights:
- ANALOG — set an R band and remember the channel. Power: 25–200 mW
- DJI — apply the goggles hack and fly at 25 Mbps or 10/20 MHz (O3)
- WALKSNAIL — unlock 8 channels, set bitrate to standard (25 Mbps)
- Once you arrive at the flying spot, determine which channels are free. Alternatively, coordinate with others to fly together on shared settings.
- Takeoff and landing areas must be located away from people.
- Before plugging in the drone battery, loudly announce it to everyone present.
- After connecting the battery, make sure nobody has lost signal.
- If someone goes into the field to retrieve a crashed drone, they must inform all other pilots and proceed with caution.
- If someone is in the field searching for a drone, do not fly above or near them. This is unsafe and interferes with recovery efforts; the beeper cannot be heard properly.
DANGER
DO NOT fly near people or cars.
DANGER
DO NOT walk with a powered drone in front of other pilots (do not create interference or hazards).
